About Joselyn

Hola! Mucho gusto. My name is Joselyn and I am a native Spanish speaker.

I was born in Ecuador, South America, and I spent all my youth in Barcelona before moving to the UK.

Among all my hobbies, I love learning languages. I speak Spanish, English and Catalan, and I understand Portuguese if spoken slowly.

Recently, I've discovered a new passion and talent for live simultaneous interpretation between English and Spanish which developed naturally over time and practice volunteering at my local church.

As a professional, I hold a Biomedical Science degree and I am a Senior Laboratory Technician working for a Biotech Company.

From personal experience, what helped me become fluent in English, in around six months, was having regular conversations and actively listening to others speaking to me in English only.

Everything else, my degree and career here in the UK, came after that. So, why don't you give it a try?

About the lesson

The sessions I would like to offer are fully conversation-based, designed to build confidence and develop natural fluency over time.

Conversation topics can be everything! Just like chatting to a friend but in Spanish and in a relaxed environment.

I would recommend already having a good foundation, being able to understand even if you find it difficult at the begging.

But of course, if you have the basics and want to try and improve over time, please feel free to contact me also.

I also offer support with Spanish homework to students that need help with their homework. Either for school purposes or if you are learning at your own pace.

If you are one of the persons that tend to translate everything in your head before speaking, that's exactly what we'll work on so it becomes naturally over time.

I am available for lessons in the evenings from 5:30 pm, Monday to Thursday. I can also be available on Sundays and we can discuss timings if interested.

- Help you understand the grammar and vocabulary
- Practice reading in Spanish and I will correct your pronunciation.
