About Laretta
I have been delivering individual, group lessons for children and adults for 10 years. I have been involved with the Heritage Schools Artist in Residence program and delivered classes at the Orange Regional Gallery 'Arts'cool' school holiday program for 5 years. My lessons endeavour to provide opportunities to explore various media including printmaking, oil painting, watercolours, sculpture, and mixed media. Art theory and history is included, complimenting the K-12 visual arts syllabus. I also offer individual and group classes for adults. I hold a current WWCC, Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts and Bachelor of Vocational Education and Training degree.

My teaching is student-centred, evidence and action-based providing information and offering feedback to facilitate critical thinking. Clear lesson goals, demonstration, facilitation and mentoring, practice, scaffolding are all included in my teaching strategies to develop and enhance meta-cognition. Most importantly, students have FUN learning, from concept, to process and real-world exhibition of their work!
