About Elise
My interest in programming began when I first realised how software systems can automate tasks, solve real-world problems, and transform ideas into functional digital products. This curiosity led me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering and develop a strong foundation in algorithms, software design, and computational thinking. Over time, I became passionate about teaching because I wanted to help students understand programming in a clearer and more practical way.
Over the past 9 years, I have worked with students at different skill levels, helping them build confidence in coding through structured lessons and real-world projects. I focus on simplifying complex programming concepts into logical steps so that students can understand not just how to code, but why certain solutions work. My teaching style emphasises clarity, patience, and consistent practice to ensure long-term skill development.
My goal is to help students become confident problem solvers who can think logically and build software independently. I want learners to develop a mindset where they can break down complex problems into simple, solvable parts and turn ideas into working applications. With strong foundational skills and continuous practice, students can grow into capable developers who are ready for real-world challenges in technology, software engineering, and innovation-driven industries.

My programming lessons focus on helping students learn coding through structured logic, hands-on practice, and real-world software development concepts. I teach Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, databases, web development, and algorithms using step-by-step explanations that guide learners from basic understanding to advanced application building. Students learn how software systems are designed, how code executes, and how different components interact within real applications.
Each lesson is tailored to the learner’s current skill level and long-term learning goals. Beginners start with variables, data types, loops, conditionals, and functions through guided exercises that build strong logical thinking. Intermediate learners focus on object-oriented programming, debugging techniques, data structures, and algorithmic problem solving. Advanced learners work on APIs, full-stack development, database integration, and project-based application building. Regular coding practice ensures that students gain confidence, speed, and practical understanding.
My objective is to help learners develop a developer mindset where they can independently design, build, and improve software solutions. Through consistent practice and project-based learning, students progress from writing simple programmes to building complete functional applications. This prepares them for academic success, internships, and professional careers in software development, where problem-solving ability, logical thinking, and technical creativity are essential.
