About Monique
Hi! My name is Monique, and I am a language fanatic!
I have recently completed a degree in French and Contemporary Chinese Studies. I have always enjoyed learning languages and discovering new cultures, and knowing how enriching it has been for me, I am passionate about helping others build confidence in their own language skills. The thing I struggled with most throughout my studies was confidence, so my main mission is to show you that there is no shame in making mistakes. In fact, making mistakes is one of the best ways to learn and improve!
Alongside my studies, I have gained valuable experience working with young people and supporting their education. These roles have taught me how to communicate effectively and adapt to different learning styles.
Whether you’re learning French for school, travel, work, or personal interest, I aim to help you build the confidence you need to get out there and start practising!

My lessons focus on developing practical French skills, with a focus on speaking, listening, and vocabulary development. I adapt lessons to each student’s level, goals, and learning style using structured practice, real-life examples, and regular review to support long-term retention and build effective learning habits. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long but can be longer or shorter depending on students’ needs.
I have recently completed a degree in French and Chinese studies and have over a year of experience supporting young learners in English and Maths, as well as working with teenagers as an ambassador at a university summer school.
Lessons are suitable for beginner to intermediate learners, including school students, adults, and anyone else with an interest in learning French.
