• 1) Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

  My first meaningful experience with a computer was during my early university days. I was fascinated by how a single tool could process, organize, and analyze large amounts of data. That curiosity eventually led me into the world of data analysis, where I discovered the real power of tools like Excel and Power BI.

• 2) What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

  The shift from static spreadsheets to interactive business intelligence tools like Power BI has impacted me the most. It transformed how we turn raw data into actionable insights. I believe the next major turning point will be the seamless integration of AI within these tools, making advanced data analysis accessible to everyone, not just technical specialists.

• 3) Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

  I specialize in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Python for Data Analysis. My interest stems from seeing how proper data skills can dramatically improve decision-making in businesses and careers. In today’s world, data analysis is no longer optional, it’s essential. The ability to clean data, build insightful dashboards, and derive meaningful conclusions separates average professionals from high performers.

• 4) Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?**

  While I admire the innovation of Gates, Jobs, and Zuckerberg, my biggest role models are practical data leaders who turn complex data into simple, impactful solutions. People like Hans Rosling and professionals who use data to solve real-world problems inspire me more. My goal is to empower everyday professionals and students with these same capabilities.

• 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  One of my most memorable moments was when a mid-level professional I was teaching struggled with manual monthly reports that took her 12 hours every month. After 6 sessions, she built an automated Power BI dashboard that reduced the work to under 30 minutes. Seeing her confidence and the recognition she received from her manager remains one of my proudest teaching moments.

• 6) What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

  I would say: “I completely understand that feeling. I’ve been there too. The good news is that you don’t need to learn everything at once. With the right guidance and a step-by-step approach, these tools become much simpler than they first appear. Many of my students started with the same fear and are now confidently using Excel and Power BI in their jobs. You’re not alone, and it’s much easier than you think.”

• 7) What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

  Beyond data, I’m passionate about teaching and continuous learning. I also enjoy strategic thinking, problem-solving, and helping people unlock their potential. On the personal side, I love reading books on personal development and staying updated with emerging technologies.
