About Mavuto Andrew
As an experienced research specialist and academic mentor, I help Honours and Master’s students master the research process from initial proposal to final dissertation submission. With a Master of Public Health degree and extensive professional experience in quantitative study design and data analysis, I focus on building both your project quality and your confidence.
Over the years, I have helped students demystify statistical software, select appropriate methodologies, and present clear, compelling findings. My goal is simple: to help you submit a defense-ready paper on time without the usual trial and error.

Recommendations
Recommendations are written by the tutor's friends, family, and acquaintances.
Not only did I overcome my fear of qualitative research, but after sessions with Andrew I went on to graduate my honors. I hope he'll still be available to share his wealth of knowledge and real-world examples when I pursue my master's degree. I am really thankful for his academic support, he is the best!
Andrew was a godsend. I almost gave me on my masters then a friend recommended him to me. The helped me with understanding how to interpret data which to me was otherwise just a bunch of numbers. Most importantly though I could see that he was really invested in my getting the knowledge, and also in my graduation. I would have paid him just for his motivation, which came as a bonus. I am a high school teacher. Besides the assistance with my masters, I gained a valuable lesson from Andrew on the importance of educators to motivate their students.
Andrew is a great teacher, intentionally and unintentionally, his insights and expertise on research and the ability to navigate between quantitative and qualitative methods has been a highlight in our time working together. I’m confident the students will learn a lot from him theoretically and based on his field experiences, they will get a glimpse of practical applications.

1. Simple, Transparent Rate
Hourly Rate: R250 per hour.
Payment Terms: All lessons are paid for in advance directly through the Superprof platform to secure your booking slot on the calendar.
2. What Your Rate Covers
Your hourly rate is all-inclusive for standard 1-on-1 online sessions. There are no hidden fees for standard lesson preparation or basic material reviews.
1-on-1 Dedicated Time: Live screen-sharing, step-by-step guidance, and real-time troubleshooting.
Session Review Notes: Concise action items and clear steps to complete before our next meeting.
In-Session Reviews: Quick spot-checks during our time together to review your data outputs, code, or methodology drafts.
3. Equipment & Software Requirements
All sessions are conducted online via video call (Google Meet or Zoom). There are no extra fees for room or equipment rental, but you will need:
Hardware: A laptop or computer with a working microphone, webcam, and a stable internet connection. Screen-sharing is essential for hands-on data analysis walk-throughs.
Software: Access to your own statistical software (such as SPSS or Excel) installed on your computer prior to the lesson. Most universities provide free student licenses—be sure to check with your institution beforehand.
4. Out-of-Session Deep Reviews (Optional)
If you require extensive pre-reading of a full dissertation chapter or complex dataset cleaning outside of our scheduled lesson hours, this is billed at the standard rate of R250/hour based on an agreed-upon estimated time. Scope and costs are always confirmed and paid in advance before any offline work begins.
5. Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy
24-Hour Notice: You can reschedule or cancel any session free of charge up to 24 hours before our scheduled start time.
Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within less than 24 hours or missed sessions ("no-shows") are charged at the full session rate to respect scheduled calendar time.
