About Ciera-Ann
I am a friendly and approachable tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students build confidence in English. I understand that English can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when it comes to knowing how to structure an essay or analyse a text effectively. I achieved an A in A Level English Literature and, having been homeschooled, taught myself my GCSEs independently. This gave me first-hand experience of developing effective study techniques and learning independently. I aim to make lessons supportive, engaging and tailored to each student, helping them build confidence and develop skills they can apply independently.

I take a student-centred approach, adapting lessons to each student’s strengths, needs and goals. I focus on building confidence alongside practical skills, including essay structure, close reading, literature analysis, developing strong arguments and exam technique. Lessons can also include guided practice, feedback and worked examples.
Typical lesson length:
Lessons are typically 1 hour, although I can be flexible depending on the student’s needs.
Qualifications and experience:
I hold an MA in Peace, Security and International Law from King’s College London and an LLB Law with American Law from the University of Nottingham. My academic background has involved extensive essay writing, critical analysis, research and developing well-structured arguments.

I offer tutoring for students studying GCSE and A Level English Language and Literature. I can support students of different abilities, whether they are looking to build confidence, improve their grades, strengthen particular skills or prepare for exams.
