About Sherilyn

Hi, my name is Sherilyn! I am a post-foundation doctor with extensive clinical, academic, and research experience across medicine and surgery. I graduated with a distinction in Medicine and went on to successfully complete the UKFPO Foundation Training Programme in the NHS. Presently, I am completing an MRES Neurosurgery in UCL during my F3 year, which allows for tutoring flexibility. Alongside my clinical and academic work, I have devoted significant time to tutoring and mentoring students. My approach is highly individualised, with an organised timeline designed to help each student achieve their best results. Sessions are structured and tailored to your needs, with clear objectives set from the start. I keep lessons interactive, high-yield, and focused, using clinical examples where relevant to make concepts memorable. I pride myself on being patient, approachable, and adaptable. Students can expect to leave with a strong grasp of key concepts, effective revision strategies, and the confidence to apply their knowledge. I look forward to supporting your academic journey and helping you reach your goals.

About the lesson

Every lesson is clear, structured, and tailored to your needs! We will begin with a free onboarding session to understand your goals and identify areas you’d like to strengthen. From this, I will create a step-by-step timeline to help us reach your targets, while keeping lessons flexible so we can adjust focus whenever needed. Lessons typically last an hour (with the option for short breaks if required) and follow an organised structure: 1. Setting clear objectives 2. Concise explanation of the topic, highlighting high-yield content 3. Applying knowledge through past paper questions 4. Consolidation and recap 5. Optional extra practice questions between sessions for further reinforcement * Sessions will be via online platforms (Teams or Zoom). PowerPoints/ Whiteboard/ Videos will be the primary mode of delivering information. You can expect a supportive, interactive environment where questions are always encouraged! By the end of each lesson, you will not only have a stronger understanding of the material but also greater confidence in your abilities.
