About Danilo

Degree in Portuguese/English Literature and their respective Literatures at Federal University of Ceará.

I am interested in learning languages and the culture of countries.

I seek to understand the student's needs and interests to create a class according to what he/she likes.

About the lesson

If you want to speak Brazilian Portuguese in an informal way but you have difficulties to talk and don’t understand what is being said, I can help you to learn genuine language which is spoken outside the classroom. If your objective is to move to a Portuguese speaking country, travel, learn about other culture, get a promotion at work, I will assist you to communicate effectively in the contexts you need, according to your goal.

If you have problems to speak, for example, I will provide tasks that will put you in contact with real world situations, then you will be ready to apply your knowledge when you need it. I use authentic materials, for example, casual conversations, movies, songs, news, advertisements, to enable you to use everyday language.

In our trial lesson, we’ll discuss about your weak and strong points in Brazilian Portuguese, your objective, your level of learning (beginner, intermediate, advanced), your hobbies and interests. Then, we’ll develop a study plan for you. You will have access to the materials I use during class such as videos, songs, presentations, they will be stored in Google Drive.

Portuguese practice
Practice Portuguese by interacting with native speakers in stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, wherever you want, with the teacher's company. Learn pronunciation, slang, idiomatic expressions and intonation.

General Portuguese
Learn Portuguese with real-life situations. Ideal for developing the four skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing).
Oral and written feedback with class notes.

Portuguese for specific purposes
Learn Portuguese for your trip, your job or another particular context.
Oral and written feedback with class notes.

Thematic Portuguese
Learn Portuguese with topics that interest you.
Oral and written feedback with class notes.

*Class suggestions, your study plan will be prepared according to your objective, so it may be different.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The trial class is free, the student will only pay the travel fee if necessary.

Individual or group classes. There is a discount in groups.

The class will last 1 hour or less, depending on the student's needs.

The class will be in-person or online (Google Meet, Skype, Zoom).
The in-person class may be at the student's home or at another agreed location.

It is possible to change the class start day and time if it is in the student's interest.

The material used in the lesson (printed or virtual) will be provided at no extra cost. Virtual materials will be stored at Google drive or will be sent by e-mail.

Learn with authentic music, movies, news, and other materials.

Homework is optional.
