About Margarida
Hello, my name is Margarida and I am a Portuguese student in Dublin. I was born and raised in Lisbon and have a big spot in my heart for home. I started learning German when I was 3 years old and, therefore, consider it a second language, and one that I am very fond of. Languages are a big part of my life and something I have always had a great love for. I am a fun, upbeat person, who loves to socialise and learn new things. Hopefully, we can come together and teach each other something, whether it be about languages, cultures or just life. I also love cooking and baking and so I would love to once in a while bring you some typical bakes from Portugal!

I understand that learning a new language, whilst exciting, can seem scary and so I plan on making teaching fun! I am a fan of visual learning and would therefore use images, posters and other visual materials to teach. I also believe that listening to songs and watching movies is very helpful so don't be surprised if for your homework I ask you to memorise my favourite songs :)). I believe that if you are learning a new language you should also learn about the culture and I will, therefore, incorporate that in the teaching. I look forward to working with you!
