About Guilherme

Born in Lisbon in the nineties, it was very early that I discovered a passion for languages. Listening to, reading and understanding languages has fascinated me and played a foundational role in who I am today. My academic path has given me the chance to live in Paris and then in London. It was there that, a few years ago, a friend asked me if I would teach them Portuguese: combining languages and teaching, two things I am passionate about, was a natural step. From then on, a journey began for which I am truly grateful and that I wish to spend more time doing. Teaching a language is about more than just the words, it's about connecting people across the globe, establishing bridges between cultures and helping everyone find new ways to communicate.

About the lesson

With more than seven years of experience, my lessons are open to everyone and all that wish to learn Portuguese - whether you're starting or already have some clues, be it conversational, focusing on grammar, beginners or advanced, for exams or just to practise. The lessons are usually around one hour and I always like to bring some culture to the class (songs, books, whatever can bring you closer to your goals!).

Perfect! Gui is an excellent teacher and I have seen progress fast, he is patient and gives great context to the learning. I especially love that he picks a song at the end of each lesson that we listen to together.

Perfect! Guilherme is an excellent teacher who prepares tailor-made and engaging classes, perfectly suited to the level of the student. I have only had a few classes with him and I feel like I have already improved a lot! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to learn Portuguese!!

He is friendly and very patient at all times and takes time to explain and expand on tricky/unknown grammer etc as and when it comes up, which i find a very useful and organic way to help concepts to stick.

Guilherme always has fun classes prepared for his students, covering topics from vocabulary and grammar to Portuguese music and culture. He also really tailors his classes to your specific needs.
