I've always dreamed of drawing portraits and figures, but I stalled and did not improve, being blocked at so many levels.
Fortunately, I was able to sign up with Alena, thus having access to a wealth of knowledge and experience. Her mentoring helped me remove all the previous blockages, and I realize I am progressing.

The drawing course I took with Alena was so helpful! She is very knowledgeable and patient. I am an artist with intermediate-level portrait drawing skills - I have learned proportions but likenesses are still a challenge. Alena was amazing at pinpointing what needed to be fixed, and how to fix it, so that I was able to improve. Every class felt worthwhile. She's a great teacher for artists of all levels because she is able to cover everything from the foundations to the smallest details of portrait & figure drawing. Highly recommend!

Alena has been teaching my daughter for years now and she is a great teacher. My daughter is lightly on the spectrum and Alena is very understanding and accommodating towards her needs. My daughter's paintings have improved substantially and she's always looking forward to her art lessons with Alena. Alena is super kind and friendly and a great teacher overall and anyone would be lucky to have her as their art teacher.
