About Thomas
I am a passionate saxophone tutor with more than 8 years of experience working with college students. I believe that learning music is not only about technique but also about confidence, creativity, and expression. My teaching approach blends discipline with enjoyment, making lessons both productive and inspiring.
I design lessons that balance fundamentals such as tone, scales, and rhythm with improvisation and musical interpretation. I use practical examples from well-known saxophone pieces and modern music styles to help students connect theory with real performance.
Innovation plays an important role in my teaching. I use recording feedback, guided practice routines, and interactive play-along sessions to help students improve faster. I also guide students in music theory, reading skills, and ear training to build a complete musical foundation.
I maintain a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is to help students enjoy the process while becoming confident and skilled saxophone players.

My Saxophone teaching style combines creativity, mentoring, and accountability. I focus on building a strong musical foundation while keeping lessons engaging and meaningful. Each lesson is planned according to the student’s level, learning speed, and interest. I teach proper posture, breathing, embouchure, finger technique, and tone development in a simple and practical way.
Creativity is introduced through musical games, improvisation, and exploring different styles of music. I act as a mentor by guiding students beyond technical skills, helping them build confidence, patience, and a positive mindset toward learning music. Critical thinking is developed by teaching students how to analyze rhythms, scales, and melodies rather than memorizing them.
To maintain accountability, I provide clear practice schedules, regular feedback, and performance goals. Students learn responsibility and consistency in their practice. In addition to Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Rhythm Training, Sight Reading, and Ear Training, which support better understanding and performance.
