About Natascha

I am a political scientist and historian who writes on the United States, the responsibilities of U.S. citizenship, our founding documents, the rule of law, national and global security, the U.S. Military, and NATO.
My background is in international relations, national and global security, public and private trust in systems, public policy, advocacy, and government relations. I'm a member of the American Historical Association (AHA) and the American Political Science Association (APSA).
I consult for corporations interested in supporting the civic responsibilities of their employees.
I also consult for U.S. companies, organizations, and individuals working in science, education, media, agriculture, and other critical service, fact-based, and social justice-driven fields whose work is under fire in our burgeoning autocracy.

Lessons are tailored to be child and age-specific and focus on grounding elementary-age children in an understanding of community, fairness, equity, leadership, and the basic structure of government in the United States.
I teach young students how to solve problems with others, the role of rules in a society, and ways they can make their communities and our society stronger.
Key concepts may include our founding documents, the three branches of our federal government, voting, and active citizenship.
I encourage parental or guardian participation in citizenship-building activities within the child's home or community between classes.
Some examples are: voting in the presence of your child; a discussion with your child about the candidates running for office, if age-appropriate; a field trip to see the founding documents or a legislative body; or volunteering together to help vulnerable people within your community.
