One of our best tutors. Quality profile, experience in their field, verified qualifications and a great response time. Andrei will be happy to arrange your first Political Sciences lesson.

About Andrei

Teaching is more than knowing the subject. It’s the delivery.

I’m Andrei, a tutor with over 10 years of experience and a BA in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from York University. I help high school, college and undergraduate students understand demanding readings and develop clear, well-supported arguments.

I enjoy the moment a theory stops feeling abstract because a student can connect it to a real political question. We work towards that through discussion, examples and careful reading.

My style is patient and direct. I take your questions seriously and help you explain your own reasoning, whether we are preparing for a seminar, an essay or an exam.

About the lesson

A strong political science answer needs a clear argument, relevant evidence and an understanding of competing views. We work on those skills using the material from your course.

Topics and support include:
• Political theory, power, justice and ideology
• Democracy, government and political institutions
• Comparative politics and international relations
• Understanding dense readings and comparing arguments
• Essay questions, thesis statements and essay structure
• Exam revision and timed response planning

A session might involve unpacking a difficult reading, testing an argument against a counterexample or turning a broad essay question into a focused plan. I ask you to explain the idea in your own words so we can see what is understood and what still needs work.

For writing, I give feedback on your argument, organization and use of evidence. You develop and write your own work, with guidance that you can apply to future assignments.

Lessons are one-to-one online for high school, college and undergraduate students. I teach in English or Russian, with weekday morning availability in Toronto/Eastern Time. International students are welcome.

Send me your course, the reading or question you are working on, any deadline and your time zone. We’ll choose a clear focus for the first lesson.

Something that I couldn't learn in school after 2 weeks, I was able to understand after 1 hour with Andrei. Thank you!

We’re so glad we found this tutor. Our child clicked with them right away, and the difference has been incredible. School used to feel like a daily struggle, but now there’s confidence, understanding, and even excitement about learning. They explain things in a way that finally makes sense, and they’re patient and genuinely caring. It’s been such a positive change for our whole family.
