Hey there! I'm David. I am graduating with a 4.0 GPA from East Tennessee State University, receiving my B.A. in Political Science and International Affairs. A dedicated student, I have experience tutoring my peers in political science, writing, applied statistics, research design, and more. I have acquired extensive training in statistical computing, specifically in R, and I enjoy helping students explore the overlap between social science and quantitative research. My work (employing statistical methods) is currently pending review in academic journals. In the Fall, I will continue my studies in social science and statistics at the University of Chicago.

I have a 74th percentile score on the Quantitative section of the GRE, and I have experience tutoring my peers in statistics and R. My strong background in applied statistics is due to my graduate-level coursework in Application of Statistics and Advanced Quantitative Research Methods at my university. Examples of my strong subjects include: linear regression (OLS), t-tests, chi-squared tests, Binomial distributions, and Analysis of Variance models. My lessons will explore both the mathematical and theoretical aspects of statistical tests as well as their practical importance and application. These lessons are specifically for social science students, but anyone in a basic statistics course will also benefit.
