About Alex Cairns
I started learning to play guitar at the age of 8 and picked up the saxophone a few years later. I studied at music college and then University where I achieved a BA (Hons) in Commercial Music along with RSL Grade 8 on guitar. I’ve since gigged around the UK at various festivals, been a member of multiple bands / ensembles and taught guitar as well as written and recorded music with many different artists Whilst sailing around the world on cruise ship contracts I’ve performed in both party bands and showbands as well as accompanying special ‘fly in’ acts.
