About Tomás

Hi there!

Music has been a part of my life since I was a child. I started playing and singing songs with the guitar, but later, I fell in love with the piano and decided to make it my career.

I hold a degree in Orchestral Conducting and have dedicated my life to exploring and sharing music in all its forms. Mainly, I work as a pianist and bandleader for several projects, like musical theatre productions, and session recordings.

I released my first album as a singer-songwriter, “Por si Acaso”. Writing it was a way to transform a challenging time—my mother’s struggle with cancer—into something meaningful for me.

Teaching is one of my greatest joys. I deeply value the bond created with my students and strive to make every lesson both educational and inspiring.

I founded my own online music school, Song Concepts. Our mission is to connect students and artists with diverse interests through music. We have an incredible team of artists and teachers working!

My teaching style is guided by patience, encouragement, and empathy. I aim to inspire confidence and creativity in every student, no matter their level or goals. I can't believe I've already connected with +200 people over this platform! Thank you SO MUCH to all of you, for your trust in me.

Piano & Music Teacher
In my lessons, we explore music in a practical way, learning the songs YOU WANT. We also incorporate singing, or learn how to sing and play at the same time.

My approach:
I tailor each lesson according to your goals and pace.
I aim to make every class enjoyable, efficient, valuable, and encouraging.

About the lessons:
Each session is divided into 2 or 3 sections, for example:
1. Technique & Warm-up .
2. Work on a specific song.
3. Develop improvisation skills.

Creativity is key:
Everything we do has a creative touch. While the piano is the main focus, we can also work on songwriting and performing your own music using any instrument you like.

You also get your OWN online folder, where we keep track of everything we do in each lesson. You’ll receive tutorials, videos, and any extra resources you may need there.

Let’s learn music in a fun, personalized way!

  • 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

When I was twelve years old, I met Lucas, a kid from another grade in my school, who introduced me to the guitar. From that moment, I became honestly passionate about music! Everyday I played something or listened to some new music. And that keeps happening up to this present moment!
I found my favorite instrument, which is the piano, when I was sixteen years old. There was an old piano in a friend's house, and I started playing a melody by ear, and that simple melody, with that old piano, took me to the road that got me where I am today.
  • 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

There are a couple artists which I can't get enough. One is Bruno Major. A role model as a musician for me. His musicality, and his song-writing is just beautiful.
As a type of music, I enjoy songs most of all. They are a simple concept in which you can place all of your artistic spirit in favor of the song. I'm also a singer-songwriter and it's something I enjoy deeply.
  • 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

I could help you learn score reduction, which is the process of playing on the piano an orchestral score! I've worked it for three years during college, and it's quite demanding 😰.
  • 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

To master an instrument is a never-ending process, so any instrument is "complicated", because that takes a lot of motivation, patience and love. But, if I had to pick, I'd say the violin is quite a difficult instrument. It's so sensitive, and so tiny! Also, so beautiful ☺️.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

First of all, having fun and pleasure in every step of the process.
Also, practicing with focus on a daily basis! Having short and long term goals will help with the motivation and the challenge of daily practice. And, of course, a great tutor will help deeply in this area.
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

I know he is not in this world anymore, but I would love to meet Mr Leonard Bernstein. He was such a visionary, an excellent teacher, and a great composer. Chatting with him, for sure would be an enriching experience.
I also would like to meet Finneas, and Paul McCartney. Because they are legends, and I love their music.
  • 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

I studied Orchestral Conducting at college. It was quite an experience. I wasn't bad at it, but it made me very nervous so I didn't really enjoy it too much. One time, a cellist told me to breathe with the music, not trying to controlling it, but to gently carry it. Next time I jumped to conduct, I felt so much difference. I felt lighter, and the music too. I am very thankful to that man.
  • 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

For me, a great teacher needs to be empathetic, understanding and patient. I, thankfully, have this qualities and I've been practicing them for a long time.
To be a great music teacher, you also have to be a musician, which I am. And I keep trying to be the best musician I can everyday. So, I'm constantly learning too!
Also, personally, I always adapt to the student desires and intentions. I don't want to impose anything, I just want to help you achieve your goals in the best and healthiest way possible :)
