About Amelia
Hi, I’m Amelia Dawson, with 8 years of experience teaching piano and keyboard to K-12 and first-year college students. I studied at University of Oregon, where I gained strong knowledge in music performance and teaching methods. I focus on making lessons engaging, simple, and enjoyable for students. I have helped many learners improve their skills and perform confidently. I received the Piano Learning Excellence Award for my structured and creative teaching approach. Seeing my students enjoy music makes me feel proud. Outside teaching, I enjoy playing piano and composing melodies.

My piano lessons are designed to help you learn in a simple, structured, and enjoyable way so you can build strong skills and confidence. I will help you understand the topic you have been having trouble with, through clear explanations, useful examples, and a lot of guided and dynamic practice. I teach piano, keyboard, and synthesizer with proper hand positioning, chords, scales, rhythm, and note reading so you understand both theory and practical playing. You will learn songs step by step while improving coordination and timing. Together, we’ll make a subject you enjoy while developing your musical creativity and expression. You can ask doubts anytime during the lesson and also send songs before class so I can customize the session for you.
