About YiHwai
Hi! I am a piano, violin and music theory teacher from Batu Pahat, Johor. I have over 10 years of teaching experience in music. I am currently a postgraduate student in music performance in UCSI.
I am also a medical graduate. I graduated from medical school with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2022, under a scholarship by the government JPA. Before that I completed my local Matriculation programme with a CGPA of 4.00 and my SPM with 10As (7A+).
I have a LTCL Diploma in Piano Recital and got numerous awards in both local and international piano competitions. I attended many masterclasses held by well-known musicians both locally and internationally.
I am active in playing in chamber music as well in my hometown - play for music exams and choir performances.

I offer music theory lessons from ABRSM and Trinity Grade 1 to Grade 8.
I can communicate in Mandarin, English and Malay, depending on which language is suitable for my students.
I always make sure that my students truly understand every single music theory concept by heart, not only for the purpose of examination.
Till now, my students' passing rate is still maintained at 100% and I am proud that all of them scored Distinction!
