About Kira
I am a passionate piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano. My teaching approach focuses on developing critical thinking, musicality, and individualised learning in every student. I believe that each learner has unique strengths, and I tailor lessons to nurture them effectively. My approach goes beyond just playing notes. I emphasise holistic musical development through music theory, ear training, history, and solid technique. This foundation helps students understand music deeply while enhancing their expressive abilities. I have guided students from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate levels, as well as Professional and Expert learners. Lessons are structured to be engaging, challenging, and rewarding. I encourage students to explore creativity while building confidence in their skills. Each session focuses on growth, exploration, and meaningful progress. My teaching approach is designed to help students build strong piano skills step by step. Whether a student wants to explore pop music, classical pieces, or develop improvisation skills, I provide the right guidance. I encourage consistent practice while keeping lessons fun and inspiring. Students are supported in achieving musical growth at their own pace. I focus on making each session productive and rewarding. Mistakes are treated as learning opportunities.
