About Nora
I’m a piano tutor with 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Piano Emphasis. I’m passionate about making piano learning fun, flexible, and welcoming for everyone. My teaching style is friendly and adaptable, designed to meet each student where they are. I have experience working with neurodiverse learners, including students with ADHD and learning differences. I adjust lessons using movement-based activities, visual aids, and interactive music apps to keep learning engaging and accessible. Lessons are paced to support focus, creativity, and steady progress. I believe that music should be playful and personal. Whether you're a young beginner or an adult learner, I shape lessons around your goals and learning style. We explore rhythm, melody, and expression in ways that feel natural and enjoyable. My piano teaching approach focuses on building musical fluency from the very first lesson. I believe learners should feel the joy of real music early on, not just practice drills. We start with strong foundations—finger independence, posture, and reading fluency—while always keeping the music engaging and fun.
I use real-time rhythm training to help students develop a steady pulse and accurate timing. We clap, tap, and count out rhythms before applying them to the keys. Duet playing is also a big part of my lessons. It builds listening skills, teamwork, and confidence, especially for those who enjoy making music with others.
I support students who want to play modern styles or perform in group settings. Whether you're learning to play uplifting songs for your community or want to jam along with your favorite pop tracks, I guide you with structured, goal-based lessons.
Lessons include ear training, chord work, and simple improvisation, so students can feel confident creating and adapting music. I keep the pace flexible and always match the material to the student’s interests and goals. Every lesson is a step forward in fluency, fun, and self-expression.
My goal is to make music feel natural, not intimidating—from day one.
