About Riley
I hold a bachelor’s degree in music and have over 6 years of experience teaching piano to students ranging from young beginners to adult learners. My own journey with music began at a young age, and it has shaped not only my career but also my approach to teaching—patient, encouraging, and centered on helping each student discover their unique musical voice. Over the years, I’ve guided students through foundational skills like note reading and hand coordination, and supported more advanced learners in mastering complex pieces and refining their musical interpretation. My background includes both solo and ensemble performance, which allows me to incorporate valuable insights about stage presence and collaboration into my lessons. My teaching philosophy is rooted in balance—combining structure with creativity. I tailor each lesson to match the pace and goals of the student, ensuring progress while keeping the learning process enjoyable. I believe that developing a solid technique is key, but so is nurturing a lifelong love for music. What brings me the most joy is seeing my students grow not only in skill but also in confidence.
