About Ayla
I completed a PhD in Piano Performance and Composition Studies after years of advanced training in instrumental interpretation, composition, and performance techniques during my academic journey. Over the past 13 years, I have guided students from many different backgrounds and skill levels, helping them improve through personalised instruction and supportive mentorship. Teaching piano allows me to combine creativity, communication, and artistic expression in a deeply rewarding way. I enjoy helping learners become more confident musicians through engaging and practical lessons.
My teaching approach focuses on adaptability, patience, and balanced musical growth. Some students improve best through technical repetition and structured exercises, while others respond more naturally to improvisation and creative exploration. I carefully adjust lessons according to each learner’s confidence level, comfort, and artistic goals. Along with technical development, I help students strengthen listening ability, rhythm awareness, expressive playing, and performance confidence. Building a welcoming and motivating learning atmosphere remains one of my highest priorities as a teacher.
Outside teaching, I continue practising piano, exploring different musical genres, and studying educational techniques that help keep lessons inspiring and engaging. Music remains an important source of creativity and emotional expression in my life. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students become more expressive and self-assured throughout their musical journey.

My piano lessons are designed to help students strengthen technical control while building confidence and musical creativity through engaging and organised learning sessions. I teach note reading, rhythm precision, hand coordination, finger independence, expressive phrasing, and dynamic balance using practical exercises that feel approachable for learners at every level. Lessons also include improvisation practice, ear training, timing exercises, sight-reading activities, and duet work that help students improve steadily through consistent repetition. I create a positive learning atmosphere where students feel comfortable exploring music while developing strong technical habits. Every lesson supports both musical growth and artistic individuality together.
Beginners focus on keyboard familiarity, scales, posture, and simple melodies through structured routines and patient instruction that build healthy playing habits gradually. Intermediate learners improve coordination between both hands, smoother transitions, expressive timing, and rhythmic consistency through guided studies and practical exercises. Advanced students strengthen emotional interpretation, advanced repertoire, stage confidence, and performance preparation through detailed coaching sessions. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s pace, confidence, and musical goals so progress remains balanced and motivating throughout the learning journey.
Learning piano should feel rewarding, inspiring, and personally meaningful. I encourage students to appreciate gradual progress while building confidence through supportive feedback and regular practice. Many learners become more expressive and independent as their musical understanding develops naturally over time. My goal is to help students strengthen both technical skill and artistic confidence while building a lasting connection with music.
