About Jayne
I am a passionate and reliable Piano tutor with 11 years of teaching and professional music experience. I teach piano to school and college students and focus on creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.
A major milestone in my career was realising how music education supports confidence and self-discipline. This understanding shaped my teaching style and lesson planning.
My lessons are simple, structured, and enjoyable. Students learn technique, rhythm, music reading, and expression step by step. I ensure lessons are easy to follow and engaging.
I take pride in helping students gain confidence and independence. Seeing students enjoy music and perform comfortably is my greatest reward.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and goal-oriented. My aim is to inspire students to love piano learning and continue their musical journey with confidence.

My teaching philosophy is based on adaptability, communication, and practical learning. I ensure that each student understands not only how to play the piano but also why techniques, theory, and rhythm matter. I adapt my lessons to match the student’s preferred learning style, providing a mix of visual, auditory, and hands-on exercises to make learning effective and engaging.
To make lessons relatable, I use real-life examples and case studies, including favourite songs, famous piano compositions, and music in films or daily situations.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm practice, ear training, improvisation, and beginner composition, giving students a complete musical toolkit.
My teaching emphasises creativity, discipline, and confidence, helping students develop both technical skill and the ability to interpret music expressively.
