About Louis
I have over 6 years of experience teaching piano to college students and am passionate about helping them grow as skilled, confident, and expressive musicians. My teaching style is student-centered, adaptive, and tailored to each learner’s goals, pace, and abilities. I combine traditional piano techniques with innovative approaches such as improvisation, music composition, and blending classical and contemporary music, making lessons interactive, creative, and enjoyable.
I emphasize building technical skills, sight-reading, rhythm, music theory, and performance confidence, while encouraging students to explore their personal style and artistic expression. My goal is to create a motivating and supportive environment where students feel challenged, inspired, and confident. In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, keyboard basics, and simple composition to support overall musical skills.
