About Tessa
I am a piano tutor with 8 years of experience and a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance Studies. My background in classical piano training helped me build strong technical and expressive skills, which now guide my teaching approach.
I have taught students from beginner to advanced levels, focusing on steady progress and strong foundations. I believe that clear basics are the key to long-term musical growth. My teaching is always patient and structured.
Outside teaching, I continue to explore piano repertoire and performance practice. This helps me improve my teaching quality and musical understanding. My goal is to help students become confident and expressive pianists.

My piano lessons focus on helping students build strong finger coordination, rhythm accuracy, and musical understanding through clear and structured teaching. I guide learners through note reading, hand positioning, scales, chords, timing, and expression in a step-by-step manner. Each topic is explained simply so students can understand without pressure.
I include structured practice such as finger exercises, rhythm drills, simple pieces, and duet playing. Students are encouraged to practice slowly so they develop control and accuracy. I also provide supportive correction so learners feel confident while improving. Every lesson is adapted to the student’s level.
As students grow, I introduce dynamics, pedaling techniques, and more expressive playing. I encourage them to understand the emotion behind music and play with feeling. Over time, students become more confident in performance and musical interpretation.
