About Nova
I earned a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Studies and a Master of Music in Piano Performance. During the last 13 years, I have worked with students of different ages, backgrounds, and musical goals. My passion for piano began through performance opportunities and years of dedicated study. Teaching allowed me to transform that passion into a career focused on helping others experience the rewards of music. Seeing students develop confidence and ability remains one of the most satisfying parts of my work.
My teaching philosophy combines structure with flexibility. I understand that every learner approaches music differently, so lessons are adapted to individual needs while maintaining clear objectives. Technical skills are always connected to musical expression so that learning remains meaningful and enjoyable. Students receive supportive guidance that encourages growth while building independence. This approach creates lasting confidence and stronger musicianship.
Outside teaching, I enjoy chamber music, accompanying performers, and exploring piano repertoire from various styles and periods. These experiences enrich my lessons and keep my teaching fresh. Watching students overcome challenges and achieve goals is deeply rewarding. I strive to create a positive environment where learning feels both productive and enjoyable. My goal is to help every student develop a lifelong connection with music.

My piano lessons are centered on helping students develop practical skills while enjoying the creative side of music. Learners work on note reading, rhythm accuracy, finger independence, hand coordination, dynamic control, and musical interpretation through engaging exercises and carefully selected repertoire. I believe students learn best when they understand how musical concepts connect to actual performance. Lessons balance technical development with enjoyable musical experiences that encourage confidence and steady improvement. This creates a strong foundation for long-term success.
Each student follows a personalized learning path that reflects individual goals and interests. Some learners enjoy contemporary music and accompaniment techniques, while others prefer classical repertoire and performance preparation. Activities include sight reading practice, rhythm exercises, duet playing, ear training, and improvisation tasks that strengthen overall musicianship. Students receive clear explanations and practical strategies that support efficient learning. Encouragement and constructive feedback help maintain motivation throughout the learning process.
My goal is to help students become independent musicians who can approach new challenges with confidence. As their skills develop, learners gain greater freedom to express themselves and enjoy music more deeply. Lessons encourage perseverance, creativity, and self-belief. Every accomplishment becomes part of a meaningful musical journey. I want students to feel proud of their progress and excited about future growth.
