About Darcie
With 18 years of experience teaching Piano, I enjoy helping college students discover their musical potential. I believe learning should be encouraging, practical, and adapted to each student's individual goals.
I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. My teaching style combines clear explanations, regular practice, and continuous motivation. Every lesson is planned to help students build confidence step by step.
I include innovative learning methods such as interactive rhythm activities, digital practice resources, listening exercises, and performance preparation. These techniques make learning enjoyable while improving technical ability and musical understanding.
Students learn note reading, scales, chords, rhythm, hand coordination, and expressive playing. I also teach effective practice habits that help students continue improving between lessons. My aim is to help every student enjoy music while becoming a skilled and confident pianist.

My teaching methodology is centered on practical learning, clear communication, and continuous encouragement. Every lesson is customized according to the student's ability, learning speed, and musical interests. This personalized approach helps students stay motivated and achieve steady progress.
I use real-life examples and simple case studies to explain music in an easy way. Rhythm is connected to daily routines, while music theory is taught using familiar songs and practical playing situations. Students understand not only what to play but also why it works.
Understanding is the foundation of my teaching. I patiently explain each topic and encourage students to ask questions until they feel confident. This approach develops strong musical knowledge and independent thinking.
Communication is open and supportive. I provide clear explanations, practical demonstrations, and regular feedback that helps students improve after every lesson. Students receive simple practice plans that keep them focused between classes.
Integrity is one of my core teaching values. I maintain honesty, respect, punctuality, and professionalism while motivating students to practice regularly and enjoy their musical journey.
Besides piano, I also teach keyboard, music theory, sight reading, ear training, improvisation, rhythm exercises, accompaniment techniques, scales, chords, and beginner music composition. My goal is to help students become confident, creative, and lifelong musicians.
