My piano lessons are structured to balance technical discipline with creative musical interpretation. I begin by teaching correct seating posture, hand positioning, and relaxed wrist movement. These fundamentals improve tone clarity and prevent tension. Students practise scales, finger exercises, and rhythm drills to develop coordination and even sound control. I explain each concept in simple English so learners clearly understand how technique shapes musical expression.
As students advance, we explore repertoire that challenges both technical ability and emotional interpretation. I teach dynamic control, phrasing development, and pedal technique. Basic music theory is introduced gradually to help students understand chord progressions and key relationships. Structured practice schedules are provided to ensure consistent progress between lessons.
Performance preparation is included through memorisation strategies, rehearsal planning, and simulated performances. I help students manage stage nervousness and build confidence. My goal is to develop pianists who perform with accuracy, expression, and confidence. Through steady guidance and supportive feedback, students gain technical strength and lasting musical enjoyment.
