About Mia

Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you! My name is Mia and I have been teaching piano and music theory for nearly 7 years. I am deeply passionate about music theory and piano performance and it would be a true joy to share that passion with you. I am an extremely patient, kind, and encouraging teacher and I take a very personal investment in each of my student's growth. I graduated from a music conservatory in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance, Magna Cum Laude and during my time in school, I earned a music theory award as well as a piano performance award. I have also won performance competitions so if you want to begin classical training, it would be my pleasure to help you! However, we could always explore other areas of music that interest you!

About the lesson

My students are taught pieces that inspire them and nourish their passion in music. Music can be very stimulating and educational but it is my personal belief that music should be an escape for your soul. I try to meet each student's individual learning goals while promoting a loving relationship with music so that each of my students can grow to be a unique and skillful musician. I am a very encouraging and friendly teacher and I love teaching people of all ages and all levels.

I have no doubt that she will one day achieve all her goals because she is already passionate and committed to practicing as much as necessary. After just one meeting with Addison I already had a lovely time with her and I am very much looking forward to working with her more in the future!

I have taken many music theory classes with tons of different teachers. And I can say that Mia has been the best by far. She’s patient with you and teaches at a pace your comfortable with. If there’s any areas you struggle in, she prioritizes helping you better understand those topics. Overall, Mia is an outstanding teacher and I recommend her to anyone starting or picking back up on music theory lessons.

Mia has taught me intermediate-advanced piano for the past 2 years and I would highly recommend her to students of all levels and ages because she is enthusiastic and patient. Apart from classical and pop piano lessons, she introduced me to music theory and in turn, I have become more inspired to want to learn more aspects of music. Lately I've been working on pieces that range from Fantaisie-Impromptu by Chopin to various selections by The Beatles. I have enjoyed expanding my repertoire and I look forward to my piano lessons every week!
