About Skye
When I first started playing piano at a young age, I didn't have much interest in it because I was forced into playing pieces I didn't like, and slowly lost passion.
I started picking it up again around the age of 13 with a new teacher, who focused on developing a passion for music and making it enjoyable, which is what I believe learning music should be like for everyone.
Up to this date, I am still learning with the same teacher, with 9+ years of experience. throughout the time frame, I have completed the RCM level 9 practical and level 8 theory certification, currently working toward my level 10 practical certification.
I have a strong passion for music and love to play different pop and classical pieces. It's a way for me to brighten up myself and others!

Learning a new skill can be hard to start and boring sometimes, but I believe that through developing a passion and finding out what works and what doesn't, learning music can be fun and enjoyable for everyone.
On top of learning the skill, piano will also help develop a sense of time management, patience, and discipline for the student. My lessons are tailored toward each unique student, with different learning styles and music preferences!
Teaching methodology:
My teaching methodology focuses on developing interest for the students to learn music first, and the learning plan would be adjusted according to what the students or parents desire, from pop, classical, to RCM-focused pieces.
Lesson style:
The lesson would focus on beginner to intermediate-level students, focusing mostly on practical playing, with a blend of music theory to help students understand the fundamentals of music.
