Mario is one of our best Piano tutors. High-quality profile, qualifications verified, organised and responsive to lesson requests, and appreciated by their students.

About Mario

Since 1997 I'm teaching in several schools and as a private tutor to more than 60 students, preparing them for exams or to become professional musicians with remarkable results. I began studying Classical Piano at the age of 7 and I also had the chance to attend several masterclasses in Improvisation, Music Harmony and Theory with important musicians such as: George Garzone, Bob Brookmeyer, Ayn Inserto, Scott Henderson, Gary Willis, John Stowell, Bob Mintzer, Dave Holland, Kurt Rosenwinkel and more.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is based on analysing and listening with deep attention to students’ needs and requests, being patient while motivating with positive and neutral critique. I also responsibly acquire appropriate teaching material and resources relating to individual students’ needs ensuring an up-to-date knowledge and a critical awareness about their level. I mostly use John Thompson Piano course for different levels and several teaching materials and resources acquired via masterclasses and lessons with important musicians. I do also teach modern music such as pop, jazz, funky, blues, latin-jazz and more.

Creswell

A very reliable tutor, knowledgeable and able to explain lessons in easy to understand terms. He is patient and encouraging and works easily either in person, or via remote platforms such as Skype. I have found Mario to be also very diligent with time and will make up any time that may be lost due to any late start, on the rare occasions that this has happened. He is also very willing to accommodate any lesson changes that the student may need, even at short notice.

Mario is a fantastic teacher. He is extremely patient with my enthusiastic 6 year old and I am delighted that just after 3 lessons, my son can already play tunes like twinkle twinkle quite confidently. I highly recommend Mario and look forward to seeing what my son and him accomplish together.
