About Lara
I am a piano tutor with over 3 years of experience teaching students both in-person and online. I earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a Pedagogy focus. My lessons focus on sight-reading fluency, score analysis, and interpreting complex classical repertoire with style and expression. I adapt instruction to each student’s goals and abilities, incorporating music history, theory, finger exercises, and period performance practices. I have worked with students from beginner to advanced levels, as well as professional and expert classical pianists. My teaching fosters technical accuracy, interpretive insight, and expressive performance. Students develop skills in critical analysis, phrasing, and stylistic awareness. Lessons blend structured exercises with creative exploration to promote both skill and artistry. I encourage independent, thoughtful musicianship and musical confidence.
