About Fiachra

I am a keen runner and and feel most at home in nature (also with my bike) and by the
sea - I also enjoy photography and reading.

My approach is patient and compassionate, and I like to build up my students with support and encouragement first, and then taking in more difficult things with a helpful
attention whenever it is most beneficial.

I am quite flexible in my methodology, if you have specific experience (such as with different methodologies or adaptations) I am happy to do what I can to continue them.

Music theory is for the most part incorporated into my teaching, but I offer additional help and guidance outside of the lessons too.

For those questions which are slowing your progress in a negative way, my students can always feel free to text me between lessons and I will answer - I think it’s important.

About the lesson

As an educator, Fiachra is focused always on finding the way of making music which suits each of his students best, with a confident and comfortable way of working with the instrument (which then transfers into the rest of life). He has been praised for his patient and compassionate approach, and an openness and freedom which he shares in his performance.

When teaching young children, he makes use of imaginative imagery and games to help explain concepts in a way that children can understand. He has also been praised for his ability to listen and understand the needs of his students, helping them make progress in a rewarding way.

His methodology is tailored to each individual student, with a focus on providing enjoyment of the individual lessons as much as possible. He is understanding in giving constructive feedback and understandsi how important it is to foster a healthy self-image and self-story in all of his students.
