About Opal
My journey with piano began through a fascination with melody, harmony, and the ability of music to communicate emotion. This passion inspired me to complete a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Studies followed by a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy. During my 9 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of different ages and musical backgrounds.
I believe every learner can make meaningful progress when lessons are engaging, supportive, and tailored to individual needs. My teaching style combines technical development with creativity, helping students build confidence while enjoying their musical journey. Through patient instruction and personalized guidance, I support learners in reaching their goals.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, arranging music, and studying a wide range of piano literature. These experiences enrich my lessons and provide students with valuable musical insights. Helping learners discover confidence and joy through piano playing remains one of the most fulfilling parts of my profession.

My Piano lessons are designed to help students build strong musical skills while developing confidence and enjoyment at the keyboard. Learners explore note reading, rhythm awareness, hand coordination, finger independence, sight reading, musical phrasing, chord knowledge, improvisation, and repertoire development through structured learning activities. I focus on helping students understand how music works so they can become independent and expressive musicians. Every lesson combines technical progress with creative exploration.
Lessons are tailored to each learner’s goals, interests, and current experience level. Beginners focus on keyboard familiarity, posture, simple melodies, and foundational reading skills. Intermediate students strengthen technique, coordination, and musical interpretation through increasingly challenging material. Advanced learners refine performance skills, stylistic awareness, and artistic expression while working on advanced repertoire. Continuous feedback and guided practice support steady growth and confidence.
Learning Piano develops concentration, discipline, and creativity. My goal is to help students enjoy the process of making music while building skills that will benefit them for years to come. Every lesson encourages personal growth and musical achievement.
