About Megan
I earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Education and have spent the last 6 years teaching students with a wide range of musical interests and abilities. My love for piano began at a young age and grew through years of study, performance, and collaboration. Teaching became a natural extension of that passion because I enjoy helping others experience the rewards of music. Supporting students through their development remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.
My teaching style emphasizes encouragement, structure, and creativity. I believe technical skills should always serve musical expression rather than exist separately from it. Students receive personalized instruction that addresses both strengths and challenges. Lessons are designed to build confidence while maintaining clear goals and expectations. This balanced approach helps learners stay motivated and engaged.
Outside teaching, I enjoy accompanying singers, exploring new piano repertoire, and studying educational methods. These activities help me continue growing as both a musician and educator. Watching students gain confidence and achieve meaningful milestones is always rewarding. I strive to create lessons that are inspiring, practical, and enjoyable. My goal is to help every learner discover their unique musical potential and develop skills that last a lifetime.

My piano lessons focus on helping students build practical skills while developing a genuine love for music. Learners work on finger strength, rhythm control, note reading, coordination, dynamics, and musical interpretation through structured activities and engaging repertoire. I personalize lessons according to each student’s goals and interests. Beginners develop strong foundations through simple exercises and familiar melodies, while more experienced learners refine interpretation, technique, and expressive playing. Activities include sight reading, chord studies, ear training, rhythm exercises, and duet performance opportunities. Students receive clear guidance and practical strategies that make practice more productive. Progress is built gradually through consistent effort and encouragement.
My goal is to help students become confident, independent musicians who enjoy making music. As learners strengthen their technical abilities, they also develop creativity, focus, and self-confidence. Lessons encourage curiosity and personal expression while maintaining strong musical foundations. Every achievement contributes to long-term growth and enjoyment.
