About Janis
"Beginners and intermediate players often sit at the keys feeling disconnected from the rhythm. I remember those early studio days clearly and now use my BMus from the Royal Academy of Music to clarify complex concepts.
We focus on hand independence, scales, arpeggios, and ear training to bridge that gap. My 8 years of experience support your work in classical repertoire or pop. I just want to make the piano feel like a natural extension of your body."

Pacing a lesson slowly often leads to faster progress than rushing through pages of exercises. I provide consistent feedback on your sight reading and sight playing so that mistakes never become habits. Having taught 247 students, I possess a clear perspective on how to balance theory with the physical reality of playing. You can expect a calm environment where the technical mechanics of the instrument receive steady attention throughout our 10 minutes of dedicated warm-ups.
