About Amaris
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education (Piano) and have 10 years of experience teaching piano to students of all ages, from young beginners to advanced learners. My teaching philosophy emphasizes combining technical mastery with expressive musicality, guiding students to develop both skill and personal voice at the piano. I encourage learners to explore interpretation, experiment with style, and build confidence in every performance.
Lessons are customized according to student goals and skill level. Beginners work on foundational techniques, note reading, and simple pieces; intermediate learners enhance finger independence, sight-reading, and expressive skills; advanced learners focus on performance preparation, ensemble collaboration, and interpretive nuance. Each lesson incorporates structured exercises, repertoire practice, and feedback to ensure balanced development.
Outside teaching, I perform regularly, explore different musical genres, and study pedagogical methods to continually enhance my instruction. Supporting students in developing technical skill, expressive range, and a lifelong love of piano is the most rewarding part of my work.

My piano lessons are designed to build technical proficiency, musical understanding, and expressive confidence from day one. Lessons cover finger independence, reading fluency, rhythm training, scales, chord progression, sight-reading, ensemble playing, and expressive interpretation. Students engage in exercises, repertoire practice, improvisation, duets, and performance simulations. I create a positive and encouraging environment where learners feel comfortable exploring musical ideas, experimenting with interpretation, and building confidence at a natural pace.
Lessons are tailored to the learner’s experience and goals. Beginners focus on finger coordination, note recognition, rhythm exercises, and simple pieces. Intermediate learners refine sight-reading, phrasing, pedaling techniques, scales, and expressive dynamics. Advanced students work on complex repertoire, duet and ensemble coordination, interpretive nuance, improvisation, and performance preparation. Every session combines structured exercises, repertoire practice, and personalized feedback to ensure steady progress and musical growth.
The aim of my piano lessons is to help learners achieve technical mastery, artistic expression, and performance confidence. Students develop independence at the keyboard, a deeper understanding of musical structure, and the ability to perform confidently both solo and with others. Lessons balance disciplined practice with creative exploration, ensuring learning is both enjoyable and meaningful.
