About Rhea
My connection with the piano began early, drawn by its ability to express complexity and emotion. Over the past decade, I have guided students from first-time players to advanced performers. My teaching philosophy centers on empathy, adaptability, and artistic growth—helping learners develop both technical fluency and musical awareness. I blend structured classical training with creative improvisation and modern repertoire. Each lesson is tailored to the learner’s pace and goals, fostering independence and critical thinking. I encourage students to interpret music personally, to understand not just notes but the emotions they convey. My approach combines rigorous technique with emotional exploration, ensuring well-rounded development. Outside of teaching, I perform in recitals, collaborate with other musicians, and study music theory and pedagogy to deepen my craft. These experiences continually enrich my lessons and perspective. For me, teaching piano is a partnership in growth—an opportunity to share the transformative power of music that has shaped my own life.

Piano lessons offer a gateway into music’s universal language—combining intellectual understanding with emotional communication. My lessons begin with posture, hand technique, and sight-reading, progressing through scales, chords, and expressive repertoire. I strive to create a supportive environment that nurtures both curiosity and discipline, where students feel safe to explore their own musicality.
Beginners focus on note reading, rhythm, and finger independence. Intermediate learners tackle dynamic control, phrasing, and harmony, while advanced students explore interpretation, analysis, and artistic individuality. Lessons integrate theory, ear training, and improvisation to build complete musicianship. Assignments include creative projects, practice journals, and recorded performances to track progress.
Beyond skills, piano lessons help learners discover patience, focus, and creative expression. Music becomes a form of mindfulness and communication—an experience that strengthens confidence and emotional balance. My aim is to guide students to not only master the instrument but also find meaning and joy in their musical journey.
