About Tova
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education (Piano Performance) and have 7 years of experience teaching piano to students of all ages and abilities. My teaching philosophy emphasizes a combination of technical skill, musical expression, and performance readiness. I focus on helping students become confident, expressive, and versatile pianists, balancing structured exercises with creative exploration. Each lesson is designed to engage learners, build technique, and encourage artistic growth.
Lessons are personalized according to the student’s skill level. Beginners work on reading, fingering, and basic repertoire; intermediate learners refine phrasing, sight-reading, and ensemble coordination; advanced learners focus on interpretation, improvisation, and performance preparation.
I integrate structured exercises, repertoire, and individualized feedback to ensure steady growth. Beyond teaching, I actively perform, explore new repertoire, and study diverse musical styles. My piano lessons focus on developing both technical skills and musical artistry. Students work on finger independence, scales, arpeggios, chord progressions, sight-reading, rhythm training, improvisation, and repertoire interpretation. Lessons also emphasize ensemble skills, collaboration, and musical communication when playing with other instruments. I create a supportive environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and consistent practice, while also fostering creativity and personal expression. Each session balances structured exercises with engaging musical challenges, helping learners feel confident at the piano while exploring expressive possibilities.
Lessons are tailored to the student’s experience. Beginners focus on note reading, hand positioning, simple scales, and beginner repertoire. Intermediate learners refine finger independence, dynamics, phrasing, sight-reading, and ensemble coordination. Advanced students work on complex repertoire, interpretation, improvisation, performance preparation, and collaborative playing. Every lesson combines structured exercises, performance practice, and detailed feedback to ensure measurable progress and growth.
