About Kara
I have been teaching piano for 10 years and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Education. My experience includes working with individuals, duets, small ensembles, and students preparing for performances. I enjoy creating lessons that combine strong fundamentals with musical creativity.
Collaboration is an important part of my teaching philosophy. I help students develop rhythmic confidence, listening skills, and the ability to play comfortably with others. Through supportive coaching and structured practice, learners build both technical ability and stage confidence.
Watching students perform with confidence and enjoy music-making is one of the most fulfilling aspects of teaching. I strive to create a positive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to grow. Together, we can build strong skills and enjoy the journey of learning piano.

My piano lessons focus on helping students develop musical fluency from the very beginning. We work on finger independence, note reading, rhythm training, chord understanding, sight reading, and duet playing through structured and enjoyable activities. Lessons are designed to build confidence while making music feel accessible.
I use practical exercises, listening activities, and creative challenges to strengthen both technique and musical understanding. Students learn how to play with steady rhythm, balanced tone, and expressive control. I also encourage exploration of different musical styles to keep learning engaging and inspiring.
Every student receives guidance that matches their experience level and personal goals. Whether learning for enjoyment, performance, or personal growth, lessons provide a clear path forward. My goal is to help learners become confident and expressive pianists who enjoy making music.
