About Gustavo
Sensitivity defines my approach to the keys after 13 years spent in the studio. I work with students aged 6 through adult, guiding them through the nuances of classical technique and jazz improvisation. My formal training at The Juilliard School shapes how I teach sight transposition, ear training, and complex memorization techniques.
Scaling and arpeggio mastery ensures a solid foundation for every student. Proper posture and hand position remain critical to my method, alongside detailed pedaling technique and music theory. Let us connect to refine your unique voice on the instrument.

Many pianists find sight playing quite daunting when faced with challenging classical repertoire. Just thinking about the notes often causes unnecessary tension.
My lessons at the home studio in San Francisco incorporate 9.0 distinct pedagogical strategies to streamline your practice. We address these hurdles using the discipline I gained from my BMus degree. Consistency transforms your sound. Developing a deeper grasp of Gershwin or Ellington requires patience and methodical study.
You should feel comfortable asking questions as we explore the intersection of classical and jazz styles. Feel free to join me for a introductory session whenever you're ready
