About Hazel
I earned a Master’s Degree in Piano Arts and Performance Practice after years of studying instrumental performance, collaborative music, and advanced teaching methods during my university education. Over the past 8 years, I have guided students from different age groups and skill levels, helping them improve through supportive instruction and personalized lesson planning. Teaching piano allows me to combine creativity, mentorship, and musical expression in a meaningful way. I enjoy helping learners discover confidence and emotional connection through music.
My teaching approach focuses on flexibility, patience, and balanced musical development. Some students improve best through technical repetition and organized structure, while others respond more naturally to creativity and musical exploration. I adapt each lesson according to the learner’s personality, pace, and artistic interests. Along with technical development, I help students strengthen listening ability, rhythm awareness, expressive playing, and stage confidence. Creating a positive and welcoming learning environment remains one of my most important priorities as a teacher.
Outside teaching, I continue studying different piano styles, practicing regularly, and exploring modern educational approaches that help keep my lessons engaging and inspiring. Music continues to shape my creativity and personal growth every day. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students become more expressive and self-assured through their musical journey. Helping learners enjoy music while building lasting piano skills continues to motivate me greatly.

My piano lessons focus on helping students understand music deeply while building strong playing habits in a calm and encouraging environment. I teach rhythm accuracy, note recognition, finger control, hand coordination, dynamic balance, and expressive phrasing using practical exercises that feel simple and approachable. Lessons also include improvisation work, timing drills, ear training, accompaniment practice, and sight-reading development to strengthen musical understanding naturally over time. I encourage students to ask questions openly and explore music with confidence rather than fear of mistakes. Every lesson supports creativity, discipline, and steady improvement together.
Beginners receive patient instruction with scales, posture, keyboard familiarity, and simple melodies that create healthy musical foundations. Intermediate learners improve coordination between both hands, rhythmic consistency, expressive timing, and smoother musical transitions through structured activities and guided practice. Advanced students focus on interpretation, advanced repertoire study, emotional storytelling, and performance preparation through detailed musical coaching. I carefully organize lessons around each learner’s goals, confidence level, and pace so progress remains motivating and balanced throughout the learning process.
Learning piano should feel rewarding, expressive, and enjoyable. I encourage students to appreciate gradual progress instead of focusing only on perfection. Many learners become more confident and emotionally connected to music as their abilities continue growing naturally over time. My goal is to help students build long-lasting musical confidence while strengthening both technical ability and artistic individuality.
