About Lauren
For 20 years, I have been dedicated to helping students learn Piano in a supportive and engaging environment. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals, adapting my teaching methods to suit learners of all ages and skill levels.
My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, consistency, and practical learning. I believe that steady progress comes from a combination of proper guidance, regular practice, and positive encouragement.
My classes cover scales, chords, rhythm exercises, sight reading, ear training, music theory, finger techniques, and performance skills. I provide students with the tools they need to become confident and independent musicians.
In addition to Piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals and music reading. These skills strengthen overall musical knowledge and help students perform with greater confidence.
I take pride in helping students discover their potential and enjoy their musical journey. My lessons are designed to inspire creativity, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

My teaching methodology is centred on communication, creativity, flexibility, and student-focused learning. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to create lessons that are enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding.
Students begin with correct posture, hand coordination, rhythm, finger exercises, note reading, and music theory. These fundamentals provide the confidence needed to learn scales, chords, arpeggios, dynamics, pedal techniques, sight reading, expressive playing, and advanced performance skills.
I explain each lesson using practical demonstrations and simple language. Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate actively, and practise regularly. Regular progress reviews help students understand their strengths and improve weaker areas.
To keep learning interesting, students explore different styles of music and develop creativity through accompaniment, improvisation, and musical interpretation. These experiences improve confidence and overall musicianship.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals, ear training, rhythm development, music theory, performance preparation, sight reading, and music appreciation. These subjects help students build a balanced musical education.
My goal is to create a positive learning experience where students enjoy music, gain confidence, and continue growing as skilled musicians.
