About Kira
I bring 12 years of experience teaching piano to students of various ages, abilities, and musical interests. I hold a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Education, which gave me extensive training in both advanced technique and effective teaching methodology. This dual background allows me to support learners with clarity, structure, and musical sensitivity at every stage of development.
My teaching approach emphasizes thoughtful progression, encouragement, and realistic goal-setting. I believe students thrive when they understand the purpose behind their practice and feel supported throughout the learning process. I work closely with each learner to build healthy practice habits, confidence, and long-term motivation.
Outside of teaching, I remain actively involved in performance, accompaniment, and continued repertoire study. These experiences keep my lessons grounded in real musical contexts. Teaching piano is deeply meaningful to me because I witness students grow into confident musicians who trust their abilities and find joy in musical expression.

My piano lessons are designed to help students develop solid technical foundations while nurturing musical awareness and expressive confidence. I guide learners through posture alignment, hand balance, finger independence, rhythmic accuracy, sight-reading fluency, and tone control. Lessons emphasize understanding how physical movement, listening, and musical intention work together to produce clear, expressive sound. I encourage mindful practice rather than rushed repetition.
Lesson structure adapts carefully to each learner’s stage. Beginners focus on reading comfort, coordination, rhythm stability, and basic technique. Intermediate learners develop smoother hand independence, dynamic control, expressive phrasing, and stylistic awareness. Advanced learners refine tonal color, interpretation, performance readiness, and consistency under pressure. Each lesson includes practical strategies students can use independently between sessions.
Piano study also strengthens concentration, patience, and emotional expression. As learners progress, they become more confident and self-directed. My goal is to help students enjoy learning while developing a lasting, meaningful relationship with music and the piano.
