About Lauren
My interest in piano began through admiration for harmony, melody, and emotional storytelling through music. This passion inspired me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Piano Performance, where I explored interpretation, technical development, and artistic performance in greater depth. Over the past 6 years, I have guided students through lessons that feel supportive, inspiring, and creatively engaging.
I enjoy helping students become more comfortable expressing themselves musically and overcoming the uncertainty that often comes with learning piano. My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, healthy technique, and artistic confidence because every learner develops differently. Some students improve through structured exercises and repetition, while others gain confidence through improvisation and musical exploration. I carefully adapt lessons to ensure learners feel motivated consistently throughout their progress.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring piano repertoire, composition methods, and live performance traditions to keep my lessons fresh and meaningful. Staying connected to music helps me bring artistic creativity and practical performance ideas into lessons. I want students to improve not only technically but also emotionally through stronger confidence and self-expression. Helping learners discover individuality and creativity through piano remains one of the most rewarding parts of my teaching experience.

My piano lessons focus on helping students develop strong musical foundations while building confidence in creative expression. I teach rhythm coordination, finger independence, chord progressions, sight reading, pedal technique, improvisation, and musical interpretation using methods that make learning feel enjoyable and approachable. Lessons are designed to help students understand how music naturally connects instead of depending only on memorization and repetitive drills. I create a relaxed environment where learners feel comfortable improving steadily through supportive guidance.
Every lesson is personalized according to the learner’s confidence level, musical interests, and long-term goals. Beginners receive patient support with posture, rhythm exercises, note reading, and hand coordination, while advanced learners strengthen expressive interpretation, technical precision, and performance consistency. I include listening exercises, duet activities, scale work, and performance preparation techniques that help students improve naturally over time. Students preparing for recitals or examinations receive additional support with confidence-building and organized practice methods.
I believe piano becomes more meaningful when students feel emotionally connected to the music they perform. My lessons aim to replace frustration with enjoyment through patient encouragement and supportive explanation. Many learners gradually become more expressive, disciplined, and creatively confident as their understanding improves steadily. My goal is to help students build strong musical foundations while developing creativity and confidence that support lifelong artistic growth.
