About Emery
I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Studies and Musical Performance after years of focused training in instrumental technique, collaborative music, and teaching methods during my academic journey. During the past 5 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds and skill levels, helping them improve through supportive instruction and personalized lesson planning. Teaching piano allows me to combine creativity, mentorship, and emotional expression in a meaningful and rewarding way. I enjoy helping learners discover confidence through music.
My teaching style focuses on flexibility, patience, and balanced musical development. Some students improve best through repetition and structured exercises, while others respond more naturally to improvisation and creative exploration. I carefully adapt lessons according to each student’s comfort level, pace, and artistic interests. Along with technical improvement, I help students strengthen rhythm awareness, listening ability, expressive playing, and performance confidence. Building a positive and encouraging learning environment remains one of my highest priorities as an educator.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing piano, exploring new musical styles, and studying educational approaches that help keep lessons engaging and motivating. Music remains an important source of inspiration and creativity in my life. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is watching students become more expressive and self-assured through their musical journey. Helping learners enjoy music while building lasting piano skills continues to motivate me greatly.

My piano lessons are created to help students enjoy learning music while building strong technical and creative skills in a relaxed environment. I teach note reading, rhythm awareness, finger coordination, hand balance, dynamic control, and expressive phrasing using clear explanations and supportive exercises. Lessons also include ear training, duet practice, timing drills, improvisation activities, and sight-reading development that help students improve naturally with regular practice. I encourage students to learn without fear of mistakes so they can develop confidence and musical understanding at a comfortable pace. Every lesson combines structure, creativity, and gradual progress together.
Beginners receive patient guidance with posture, keyboard familiarity, scales, and simple melodies that build healthy foundational habits from the beginning. Intermediate learners improve rhythm consistency, coordination between both hands, expressive timing, and smoother transitions through organized musical exercises and guided practice sessions. Advanced students focus on performance preparation, interpretation skills, advanced repertoire, and emotional storytelling through detailed coaching and musical refinement. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s personality, confidence level, and musical goals so progress remains balanced and encouraging throughout the learning process.
Learning piano should feel inspiring and rewarding. I encourage students to celebrate improvement step by step instead of worrying about perfection. Many learners become more independent and emotionally expressive as their musical abilities continue developing over time. My goal is to help students strengthen both technical ability and personal creativity while building a lasting connection with music.
