About Ivy
I have 6 years of experience teaching piano and hold a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance. During my teaching career, I have helped students strengthen technical ability, improve confidence, and develop a deeper appreciation for music. Watching learners achieve goals they once thought difficult is incredibly rewarding.
My teaching philosophy combines structure, patience, and creativity. I believe students make the greatest progress when they feel supported while being challenged appropriately. Lessons are carefully adapted to help each learner succeed.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy accompanying musicians, exploring piano literature, and studying performance practices. These experiences continue to shape my teaching and bring fresh ideas into lessons. I am committed to helping students build skills that support lifelong musical growth.

My piano lessons focus on helping students become confident and independent musicians through structured and engaging learning. We work on note reading, rhythm development, finger coordination, hand independence, scales, chord progressions, and expressive interpretation. Every lesson is designed to support steady progress while keeping music enjoyable.
Students participate in sight-reading activities, technical exercises, listening practice, repertoire exploration, and rhythm-building tasks. I encourage learners to understand the reasoning behind musical concepts so they can apply them confidently. Lessons are tailored to fit individual goals and learning styles.
I enjoy helping students develop skills that allow them to perform with greater confidence and musicality. Through regular encouragement and personalized guidance, learners build strong habits and lasting musical understanding. My goal is to create a rewarding and inspiring learning experience.
