About Meg
I am in my final year of a Philosophy degree and have had plenty experience in writing essays because of the nature of my course; meaning i can confidently say that I know how to structure and write a good essay
I did both Englsih literature (grade C) and Language (grade A) at A'level so have the relevant knowledge needed to secure good grades.
Being dyslexic myself i understand the trails faced by disadvantaged students and have honed some good methods to overcome these obsticles which i am happy to pass on.
My varied experience with the humanity subjects means I understand the varying mark schemes for other subjects and can use my skills to give guidance on how to structure essays for other fields.

My teaching methodology is based on the idea that you learn better with practice and guidance rather than from me telling you how to do it. With this in mind, it is my goal to provide the tools you need to progress by talking a probelm through with you but letting you reach the conclusion yourself.
I use mindmaps and flow charts as a way of planning ideas out but I am open to other ideas and ways of learning that may suit you better.
I like to make my sessions very student centred so we will start each session with a recap about last weeks work before going on to talk through any problems you have encountered since we last spoke. The rest of the session will then of course be dedicated to the problems you have faced which we will work on together and try and overcome by the end of the session. There will be some extra reading or homework required occasionally just to strengthen your learning and assisit your knowledge from the classroom.
I have taught both GCSE and A'level students before and am happy to assist both. I am easy to talk to, friendly and approachable and, ultimately, just want you to achieve the best you can achieve. If you are not happy with the way i tutor then feel free to tell me and we can readjust the teaching plan to suit your needs!
